She studied nutrition at Sydney University and graduated with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry & Pharmacology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics & Nutrition.

Judy has specialised in paediatric nutrition for over 15 years and has worked in both Australia and the UK in NHS teaching hospitals and community trusts, and private clinics. Judy helps families through her private consultations, public lectures, newspaper and magazine articles, books, and television and radio interviews.

Judy's current interests are in public health issues, and she has recently researched and written articles on weaning, omega-3 fats, vitamin D, rickets, fluid requirements in children, and nutritional problems within the UK. She has also recently worked with the Department of Health to procure suitable vitamin supplements for the Healthy Start scheme.

An active member of the British Dietetic Association, Judy is on the BDA PR committee and acts as spokesperson on many paediatric issues. She held the role of chairperson for the Paediatric Group of the British Dietetic Association from 1999 – 2002. Currently, she is the BDA’s representative on the Baby Friendly Initiative, a worldwide programme of the World Health Organization and UNICEF designed to encourage maternity hospitals to implement the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and to practise in accordance with the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes.

Judy has a private practice in west London where she sees parents and children for individual consultations, offering expert advice on feeding problems, fussy faddy eating, weight control, gastro-intestinal reflux, allergies, intolerances, vegetarian and vegan diets  and other nutritional issues.

Judy works for corporate and charitable groups and can assist marketing departments with product development and promotion.

Judy is keen to encourage consistent nutritional messages and regularly lectures at universities on child nutrition. She is in demand as a keynote speaker at conferences, workshops and seminars.
