Nutritional Consultancy - Recent Projects
Mumtaz Baby Food
Judy is retained by Mumtaz as a nutritional consultant. Most recently, she helped with the launch of their new range of halal baby food. She liaisied with the NHS supply chain, so that all NHS hospitals can now order these products. Click here to see press coverage.
Department of Health
Two vitamin projects. Identified the need for these, proposed new vitamins should be manufactured and marketed. Project managed the selection of suppliers to manufacture the vitamins. Developed a marketing strategy for the two new sets of vitamins.
Multinational Food Company
Judy was recently invited to present to an FMCG multinational on the subject of nutrition and growth in children aged 5-12. Included in her presentation was information relating to the key nutrients missing from many children’s diets.
Wyeth Pharmaceuticals – SMA Nutrition
Judy is a regular presenter on infant and child nutrition at the study days held for midwives and health professionals.
Say Communications
Judy is a member of the Infant & Toddler Forum. She is jointly responsible for preparing Factsheets and In Briefs for this educational forum on infant and toddler nutrition and development. Click here to see the educational materials the Forum has produced. Judy also presents at the study days for midwives and health professionals and has written the training manuals.
British Dietetics Association Public Relations
As a member of the BDA’s PR committee Judy advises the association on their communications strategy. She contributes to their website content and gives regular talks to student dieticians.
National Day Nurseries Association
Judy was asked by the NDNA to create a training module for them in order to train their nursery staff on the subject of nutrition of nursery age children. She has also reviewed and modified their recipe book.
Methodist Church Central Finance Board
Judy was asked to act as an independent expert at an extraordinary meeting to discuss the ethical suitablility of Nestlé as a potential investment for Methodist funds and to advise the Central Finance Board of the Methodist Church accordingly.
The consultation exercise paid particular attention to Nestlé’s performance with respect to the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes, but also considered other aspects of Nestlé’s business before arriving at a conclusion. Click here to see the minutes of the meeting.
